Logout page

I am trying to implement a logout page. (I am not using the login controller, and just using AuthenticationManager.createUserSession for getting the session)
The session is holding the information of the currently logged in user.
How should I handle when a user tries to log out?
Should I do it via the AuthenticationManager or is there another way to do it?
I have tried to do it like this:
AuthenticationManager.logout(new UsernamePasswordAuthenticationToken(User.getUsername(), User.getPassword(), new ArrayList()) )

but it did not work, I only get redirected to a “welcome” page.
Thanks.

I know this is an old question, but I stumbled on this when trying to logout a user. I didn’t find a direct way for logging the user out, but rather found a recommended way of logout through the servlet API. The way to do it is by calling HttpServletRequest.logout().
public void logout() {
// TODO: Check session here
HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest)req;
request.logout();
}

I don’t have any experience in using the Spring Security API so I can’t say if using the AuthenticationManager.logout() method would work, but I believe it should.

Mr.McGoohan : Captain .In this project, we have been investigating the mechanisms by which dietary fatty acids control the interplay between pathways of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Key insight into these processes comes from animal models that exhibit either increased or decreased efficiency of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism in obesity, and from observational studies in humans demonstrating that the dietary fat content of an individual’s diet may modulate blood lipids. Since the metabolic response to a diet is highly dynamic, it is essential to study diet-induced changes at the molecular level, and not merely the levels of circulating metabolites. In the current project, we are investigating how alterations in the abundance of several critical proteins in white adipose tissue (WAT), a primary site of fat storage, influence the systemic metabolic response to dietary carbohydrate and fat by placing greater emphasis on the role of protein phosphorylation. We are finding that phosphorylation of several proteins in adipose tissue is regulated by dietary carbohydrate. For example, our preliminary data show that increased dietary carbohydrate levels decrease the phosphorylation status of the phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) in WAT of mice. Decreased levels of this phosphatase can enhance lipid uptake by adipocytes via increased levels of phosphorylated phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K). Furthermore, increased carbohydrate availability is associated with increased markers of inflammation in WAT. These data are consistent with our proposal that increased carbohydrate availability stimulates a pro-inflammatory response in WAT, which can perpetuate WAT inflammation and insulin resistance. While we cannot fully exclude the possibility that other non-PTEN-related mechanisms may also be involved, the fact that carbohydrate induced changes in the abundance of PTEN (and other identified proteins) in WAT is highly correlated with changes in diet-induced metabolic responses strongly implicates PTEN in the regulation of obesity, insulin resistance and inflammation. Furthermore, this correlates well with the well-established role of PTEN in insulin signaling. Further studies will focus on identifying the enzymes responsible for PTEN phosph

After interviewing (and negotiating with) a number of police officers and experts, a yearlong project of the Washington Post Digital Labs released the report NARCs (Narcotic Anonymous Registries), showing the first (and largest) nationwide database of people using an anonymous, private site to share their personal drug addiction stories and prescription medication usage history.

Sebastian, the opinionated bartender at Last Chance, an otherwise run-down bar in the town of Eaglebridge, New Jersey, was notorious for issuing the town’s own alcohol. He was, however, less talkative when it came to the most important topic in their town, namely drug addiction.

In 1971 alone, the American Medical Association named more drugs for abuse than all of the previous years combined, and doctors were told in textbook form, “Licit and illicit drug use is common, widespread, and increasing in frequency.” How to cure the problem seemed to be an endless search, but no one could come up with an answer.

The complicated relationship of addicts to illegal substances has always been one of the most intriguing facets of addiction. Contrary to popular belief, addiction is not a decision that a person makes; it is, in fact, an inability to control a habit or a compulsion. Addiction is actually just a form of cyclical behavior: An addiction is often the result of a person not having any other choice than to consume an addicting substance.

We won’t lie to you about the fact that junk food, booze and drugs are easily available at almost every corner in this country, nor will we try to justify their taste. In fact, throughout the entire article, we’ll probably be pretty blunt and direct. If you don’t like what we have to say, then you can turn right around and go back to eating your Snickers bars; we wouldn’t care much about that. However, if you do like what we have to say, then keep reading because we have a lot to say and a lot of it is going to be pretty interesting.

When it comes to feeling guilty about overeating or drinking too much, ask yourself what else are you guilty of? What other habits do you have that keep you from being your best? I
